Progress for Book 1 of the Soul Series

Hey thirsty bookwyrms! I'm getting so close to publication, and it's starting to feel so real! I'm excited and nervous and even more impatient than ever! Here's where my Soul series stands so far: 1. My editor has been scheduled. She will have the manuscript in May. I just finished my line edits getting a few story beats cleaned up from beta responses. I'm so immensely grateful for my betas for this first book. They taught me so much about the story and my own writing. 2. Cover art has been purchased and final files are being completed. I hope to have the final cover the first week of June so my cover reveal will be sometime in June. I'm so excited to share this cover. I've been in love with it since the first time I saw it and it is so perfect for the vibe I'm going for with this series! 3. I'm working on designing my shop so I can offer signed copies here on my website. I'll send a questionnaire out with my newsletter to get a feel for interest in signed book and swag! 4. My social media is slowly growing. I'm still experimenting with teasers for the series. I'm excited to keep learning and getting better with making promo images. I've discovered templates and I've had fun creating short form videos. 5. I'm planning on writing some goodies to help tie in some backstory with other characters. I want to offer them for my newsletter subscribers. This is going to be a project that will take some time since my main focus is this six book series. I have several ideas that I'm excited to work on though. 6. Publishing wide or exclusive to Amazon? I think I'm leaning for putting my ebooks in KU. It makes me nervous but I think either choice I make there is going to be some form of FOMO. I see a lot of indie authors in my genre that are having success in KU. I'll have a definitive answer on this question by the time I do my cover reveal. 7. While book 1 is in other people's hands: I'm working on Book 2 developmental edits and trying to get it ready for betas in May. There are a few scenes I want to add and complete a few story lines from book 1. Book 1 ends on a cliffhanger (sorry, not sorry) but there are story lines I'm wrapping up in book 2 as well as book 3 and beyond. More twists to come!

Yikes this was a long winded update. I'll keep these coming as new information and milestones occur.
